I started skiing when I was 3 years old. Back in the day there was really no difference between alpine and Nordic skiing. The concept of being an all round skier has always been part of my approach to the sport.
Among my ski adventures over the years, I count haute route skiing in France and Switzerland, an uncountable number of trips to the Chic Choc Mountains, ski touring in Alberta and BC and so many more. I have worked as a cross country ski instructor, a Telemark course conductor and been part of a Nordic demonstration team.
I have participated in many loppets and have completed gold coureur des bois in the CSM 13 times.
I am part of RSFL’s technical team and have supplied ski information to MRG for 30 years.

Hi Chriss, I wandered upon this page while searching for acceptable skiing conditions east of Montreal. I was curious re your page and started reading you History pages and saw a photo of you sitting on a bale of hay at one of the Gold Camps (what year?). I remember your face but cannot place the year. Reading your blog was a throwback to the times I was skiing with my friends and future spouse up and around the Laurentian trails and meeting Alice, Peggy and seeing Jackrabbit espouse skiing at the various locations and events throughout the years. So many memories come to mind of cross-skiing decades gone by and staying at the MOC house and using the trails that Jackrabbit created. Thank you for creating this page and I will peruse it again after my day of skiing.
